Mathematics, Informatics Providing
students with fundamental education in wide range of subjects,
connected with the chosen specialty is the tradition of all classical
universities of the world. The global aim of university education is
"teaching to learn". The skill of self-dependent studies becomes one of
the chief objectives of university education under conditions of abrupt
changes in advanced technologies and possibility of frequent
reorientation in a chosen field. This
task is successfully fulfilled by one of the oldest faculties of the
university - the Faculty of Mathematics. The
Faculty comprises four divisions:
Head of division: Pryvarnykov Arkadij Konstyantynovych, Doctor of physical and mathematical Sci., Professor (5th building of ZNU, office 318), ph. 764-39-10
Head of division: Grebenyuk Sergej, Doctor of technical Sci., Associated Professor (5th building of ZNU, office 218), ph. 764-37-12
Head of division: Boryu Sergiy Yuriyovych, Candidate of technical Sci., Associated Professor (1st building of ZNU, office 39), ph. 764-17-24
Head of division: Grischak Victor Zakharovych, Doctor of technical Sci., Professor (5st building of ZNU, office 216), ph. 764-28-95
Head of division: Tolok
Vyatcheslav Oleksandrovych, Doctor of physical and mathematical Sci.,
Professor (5th building of ZNU, office 220), ph.
764-18-97 All
the licensed specialties have intramural and extramural departments. The
Faculty is completed with modern computer techniques. Students have 5
educational computer classes at their disposal for studies and
self-instruction. All computers are connected to the Internet. The
courses of work with modern distributed packages of applied programs
are permanently functioning at the Faculty. The
Faculty offers post-graduate studies (intramural and extramural
instruction) with specialization in: "mechanics of strained rigid body"
and "mathematical modeling and computational approaches". The information at this page was updated at October 30th, 2007 |
