Nikopol Institute of ZNU

Nikopol Institute of Zaporizhzhya National University was established in 1997 as a separate university department. Institute provides education on the grounds of license issued to Zaporizhzhya National University.

Graduates of ZNU Nikopol Institute get diploma of Zaporizhzhya National University with degrees of bachelor and specialist.

ZNU NI trains experts in the following specialties:

• 0502 Management;
  specialties:
  • management of foreign economical activities,
  • management of organizations.
• 0501 Economy and enterprise
  specialties:
  • accounting and audit;
  • finances.
• 0305 Philology
  specialties:
  • English language and literature.

Nikopol Institute provides education intra- and extramurally. It trains more than 1200 students.

Basic subjects are taught by the specialists of Zaporizhzhya National University. Among them there are 6 professors, Doctors of Sciences; 17 Masters of Sciences, docents; 54 senior scientific workers.

Institute uses modern audio- and video devices in educational process. Students are given the possibility to watch educational films in foreign languages, use both Ukrainian and foreign manuals. Computers are widely used: two computer classes, permanent Internet connection, all institute departments are equipped with computers.

Students can use – reading room and library, book exhibitions are held. Institute has its own media reserve, that counts about 150 items (audio- and video cassettes).

Social sphere is constantly improved: assembly halls are rented for cultural and mass arrangements, as well as sport grounds for contests and training.

Nikopol Institute jointly with Zaporizhzhya National University takes part in international projects and programs. Instructors cooperate with ZNU chairs in scientific researches, work jointly in international scientific and scientific and practical conferences, consortiums of education improvement in Ukraine, publish joint works, take part in exchanges between higher education establishments. Much attention is paid to professional training at schools. Students practice at city enterprises, organizations, schools.

The best representatives of studentship take part in students’ council: they try to make life more interesting. Student theatre of variety miniatures is established in the institute. Each student does what he likes most: print works in students’ newspaper “Gaudeamus”, partake in scientific-practical conferences, different contests, go in for sports, dance, sing and travel with tourist section.

Top management of ZNU Nikopol Institute, the only one among city higher educational establishments, provides privileges in payment for tuition.

ZNU Nikopol Institute is headed by Master of Pedagogical sciences, docent Seliverstova Nadija Ivanivna.
