In Zaporizhzhya National University the teachers are constantly looking for the ways to interest students in learning and, at the same time, provide them with the most modern high-quality knowledge. The foreign scientists with whom the University cooperates are involved in classes to enhance the educational process. So, this time the Professor of the University of Liverpool (UK) Kiron Reid visited lecture on «International journalism» (lecturer– Tetyana Ivanyukha) at the Faculty of Journalism. It is worth noting that Kiron Reid was invited by the representatives of the administration of the University for teaching at the Faculty of Law and Faculty of Foreign Languages in the framework of the implementation of the concept of foreign language learning. By the way, he is not only a scholar, but also an observer of the OSCE mission in Ukraine.
On December 19-20 in Kyiv took place the International conference-workshop: «Fact-checking: international experience and Ukrainian problems», which was the result of training from the experts Stopfake.org and the contest of journalistic materials. There are two students of the Faculty of Journalism of Zaporizhzhya National University among the winners.
The last winter day was marked with a friendly visit of prospective students to the Faculty of Journalism, ZNU.
On February 18 the second-year students of the Faculty of Journalism had a meeting with Tetyana Kamins’ka - the Head of Zaporizhzhya Regional Charity Fund ‘Svitlozir’.
On February 16 Zaporizhzhya National University hosted an indoor soccer game for “Activ-Z” Cup. For the first time the competition was supported by a non-governmental organization “Activ-Z” together with Zaporizhzhya Municipal Indoor Soccer Association and ZNU Rector Mykola Frolov.
In the late April results of 3rd Professional Journalism Contest on ‘Profession’s Honour-2012’ were summed up. The winners and laureates were awarded on April, 26 at ‘President-Hotel’ (Kyiv), among them was ZNU representative Kateryna Poliakova.
April, 19 online conference was carried out with ZNU Faculty of Journalism and students of Bluffton University (Ohio, U.S.A.)
