One of the strategic directions of the Scientific Society of Students and Graduates' development is negotiation about cooperation with scientific societies of other universities. So recently there was the meeting of the ZNU SSSG head Sviltana Siritsa with her colleague from Zaporizhzhya State Engineering Academy Julia Kalyuzhna. 
It has been already almost 10 year since the medicinal leeches are being studied in ZNU laboratories. The humanity has been using them for medical purposes since the ancient times but there weren't any scientific evidences of proving their characteristic till now. The Immunology and Biochemistry Chair Professor, Dr. of Medical Sci. Olexandr Frolov told us about the ZNU scientists' achievements in studying of the medical leeches.
On March 9th the traditional days devoted to honoring the famous Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko has started in Zaporizhzhya National University. The teachers and students of the Philological Department laid the flowers to two poet's monuments at the campus.
On March 3rd at the Department of Sociology and Administration there was the grand meeting of the diplomas solemn handing to the master graduates majoring in Sociology and State Administration. The Associate City Mayor Vitaly Grytsenko welcomed the graduates.
This year is the 20th anniversary of the Youth Academy of Science (YAS). This contest helps students to develop their scientific skills. It has tree tours: at the schools level, at the oblast level in Zaporizhzhya National University at the All-Ukrainian level in Kyiv. But it hasn't been like this all the time. The director of the Zaporizhzhya Center of Technical and Scientific Creativity of Youth Mykhaylo Edel tells us about the history of YAS and the idea of its creation.
On February 25 the Student Ball show for the students of the ZNU College of Economics and Law took place in Mix Night Club. Seven couples of students participated in the contest College's Ideal Couple.
