January 21 the Head of Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration Oleksandr Peklushenko visited Zaporizhzhya National University. During a meeting with the teachers and students of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Administration Oleksandr Mykolayovych shared with them plans for the strategic direction development of Zaporizhzhya region, and gave answers to all the questions put to him, in particular those dealing with further cooperation between Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration and our university.

January 17, in the walls of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine held a scientific conference "Institute of President of Ukraine in the system of government of Ukraine". The conference was attended by about two thousand honored guests and officials at all levels, as well as representatives of higher educational institutions of Ukraine.

According to the decision of the Certifying Collegium under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine from 17 January of this year at Zaporizhzhya National University is authorized to prepare scientific and pedagogical staff of the highest qualification in two new to our university specialties: 08.00.04 - "Economics and Management of Enterprises" and 23.00.02 - "Political institutions and processes".
