On 1 September 2017, on the basis of Zaporizhzhya National University will be held a solemn opening of the Confucius Institute classes for the study of the Chinese language, culture and traditions. This is the result of the official visit of the Rector of ZNU, Professor Mykola Frolov and the Vice-Rector for Educational Research, Professor Volodymyr Volkov to the Anhui Pedagogical University (Wuhu, Anhui province, China). During the stay at the Chinese University the Rector Mykola Frolov signed a cooperation agreement between the universities with its Rector Wang Lun for a period of 5 years with subsequent prolongation.
Recently within the limits of the work of Zaporizhzhya branch of the Center for German Law of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, which operates at the ZNU Faculty of Law (Head: the Dean of the Faculty of Law Tetyana Kolomoyets), was held a meeting with the representative of Austria, Mr. Andreas Gauss. The students had the opportunity to find out some moments of political and cultural life of Austria and to communicate in the German language. The coordinator of the meeting was the lecturer of the Department of Second Language Studies of the Faculty of Foreign Philology Ihor Sklyar.
A motivational factor plays a great role in the study of foreign languages. Lecturers and students of the Faculty of Foreign Philology know it very well, so they try to use every opportunity to get acquainted with the national culture of countries the languages of which are studied. Considering this important factor, the lecturers of the Department of Second Language Studies try to attract students to the cultural heritage of the countries through the foreign authentic poetry.
«Scientific Achievements of the Faculty of Economics» – was the topic of the report during the meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council presented by the Deputy Dean for Research of the Faculty of Economics Yuliya Kusakova.
On April 7, law students – members of the Zaporizhzhya branch of the Center for German Law – attended a presentation of the scholarship programs organized by the staff of the ZNU Department of International Relations. Such events, with the opportunity for students to raise their level of knowledge of foreign languages and to acquire professional competences, are an important component of the implementation of the concept of academic mobility in our University. The Head of the Department of International Relations Natalya Kostenko and the guest of the event – a regional coordinator of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Andriy Honcharuk told the participants about the work experience internship in Germany for students of ZNU.
