In 2016 Zaporizhzhya National University joined the consortium e-VERUM (http://everum.org.ua), to which 115 universities of Ukraine have already entered today. The TORNADO project (Thomson Reuters for research and education institutions), launched by the consortium (http://everum.org.ua/Projects/tornado), allows you to participate in all online activities conducted by the company Clarivate Analytics (until 2016 Thomson Reuters research and intellectual property unit), and receive special invitations.
For many students and graduate students of ZNU, summer is a time not only for rest, but also for self-improvement and additional education. In particular, they actively participate in the international academic programs, increase their professional and linguistic competencies. For example, recently, the second year postgraduate student of specialization «Journalism», the graduate of the Faculty of Journalism Ihor Samokysh returned to Zaporizhzhya from Germany. For almost two weeks, he actively participated in the Summer School "Conflict and Sensory Journalism" within the DAAD Ost-West-Dialog program.
According to the results of the consolidated rating of higher education institutions of Ukraine in 2017, compiled by the informational and educational resource "Osvita.ua", Zaporizhzhya National University ranked 43rd among 300 higher education establishments of Ukraine. ZNU is also on the 2nd place among the universities of Zaporizhzhia and the 4th – among the universities of the Southern region, that confirms its status of a leader of higher education in the Zaporizhzhya region.
The international law firm Spenser & Kauffmann, together with the UBA Students' League, held a scholarship competition, which had the record number of participants.
