From March 20 to April 30, on the Moodle platform of the Zaporizhzhia National University, 95 teachers of general secondary educational institutions and university teachers of Zaporizhzhia and the region successfully completed the online course "CLIL Methodology" and received certificates of professional development.
On May 18, the International Examination of PTE (Pearson Test of English), which is recognized by employers and educational institutions in many countries, was held on the basis of the Faculty of Foreign Philology of Zaporizhzhia National University. This test, confirming the level of knowledge of English, is indefinite. It means that after passing it once, a person forever confirms their level of proficiency in the language.
On the first of February, the next listening training in English for applicants in 2019 was held on the basis of the Faculty of Foreign Philology.
On January 22, the first round of the competition for the best review on a work of art in a foreign language “FRESHview” was held on the Faculty of Foreign Philology of ZNU.
8 November in Zaporizhzhya National University started workshop from the Goethe Institute for German teachers. To improve qualification expressed a desire 22 teachers of Zaporizhzhya, Melitopol and from Donetsk, Khartsizsk, Dzerzhinsk and Kramatorsk. For five days they study on the latest teaching methods and Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
The teaching staff of the Faculty of Foreign Languages of ZNU has always attached great importance to vocational activities and cooperation with teachers of educational institutions of secondary education. Thus, a form of permanent cooperation of representatives of this Faculty from the schools of the city and region are teaching workshops for teachers of foreign languages of Zaporizhzhya. October 23 on the basis of the Faculty of Foreign Languages was held already the 19th similar workshop where with school teachers of English, French and German sharing innovative techniques and new materials that will be useful to them in preparing students to pass the relevant tests of External Independent Tests.
Vocational work at the Faculty of Foreign Languages of ZNU made immediately in several ways, including the attraction to work with the future entrants of students and masters.
October 28 at the Faculty of Foreign Languages held 16th Methodological practical seminar for teachers of foreign languages in Zaporizhzhya. These teaching activities at the Faculty of Foreign Languages of our university held for six consecutive years. Thanks to cooperation with Information-analytical methodological center of the Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration, the popularity of these practical seminars is increasing every year. So, this time the event visited more than 150 teachers.
