Unlike External Independent Testing (EIT) in the Ukrainian language and Literature, testing in Biology and Chemistry is not obligatory. At the same time the corresponding certificate is necessary for entrance to a number of prestigious directions of preparation. But there are not a lot of schools specialized in natural sciences in our country. So there is a task before teachers to prepare senior pupils for passing corresponding tests qualitatively in a short. For this reason teachers of Zaporizhzhya and regional schools have gathered in ZNU where the scientific and methodical seminar, devoted to the decision of the problems connected with carrying out EIT in Biology and Chemistry passed.

The solution of methodical, organizational and psychological problems, concerned with this year’s External Independent Rating (EIR), has the paramount meaning for all teachers. Testing in Ukrainian Language and Literature is foremost, because all persons wishing to get higher education had to pass the testing. So, the seminar, organized by the administration of ZNU and the staff of the Philological Department, aroused great interest not only among teachers of our town but all Zaporizhzhja region.

The rector of ZNU Sergij Timchenko initiated conducting in Zaporizhzhya national university scientific-methodical seminars, dedicated to problems of external independent testing for school graduates. The first one was dedicated to “Problems of educative, instructive, organizational and psychological provision of external independent testing in 2008-2009 educative years” on November, 14 in our university.
