For the second year in Zaporizhzhya National University carried out action "Throw away in a correct way", in which activists of Biological Faculty Students' Council collected used batteries to transfer them to special enterprises for the required utilization. For example, last month they collected 43 kg, but in winter brings them to the collection points less.

More than 220 participants gathered in Zaporizhzhya National University of the Third Regional Scientific and Practical Conference of Students, Postgraduates and Young Scientists "Current problems and prospects of medical, pharmaceutical and natural sciences", which was held on 29 November. Although the event is regional, it became so popular that this year to take part in it decided scientists from other cities of Ukraine. In particular, among the guests of our university were 10 members of the National Medical University named after O.O. Bohomolets (Kiev).

November 27 at the Biological Faculty of Zaporizhzhya National University was held a debate of candidates for the post of the chairman of the Faculty's Students' Council, which expressed a desire to lead three students: Valeriya Mykhaylova (1st year), Oleksandr Stryhunov (2nd year) and Yelyzaveta Verba (2nd year).

On the basis of the Biological Faculty of ZNU was held the second in this academic year methodological practice-oriented workshop for teachers on "Algorithms for solving problems of high complexity in chemistry and biology in preparation of students to Ukrainian students". Took part in it more than 70 teachers of chemistry and biology of Zaporizhzhya schools.

November 17 in Zaporizhia city administration was held a traditional celebration of the International Srudents' Day and awarding the best students of city. The hosts of the event were students of ZNU, studio presenters, participants of "STEM-MS" of Cultural Center of ZNU - Denys Bilokon and Kateryna Domina.

November 12 at the Biological Faculty of Zaporizhzhya National University as a part of career guidance was held the third in this academic year workshop for teachers of Zaporizhzhya region. The event attended about 30 biology and chemistry teachers from different schools of Zaporizhzhya region.

Students of Zaporizhzhya National University won the regional festival of pop art "Starfall" finale which took place yesterday, November 9. As a result, our talented students took 2nd and 3rd place and became diplomats of the festival.

Today in Zaporizhzhya National University was held a charity event to raise funds to support ATO members "Keep together", organized by Students' Councils o the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Faculty of Social Sciences and Administration, Biological Faculty and the support of the Cultural Center of ZNU.

3rd year student of the Faculty of Biology of Zaporizhzhya National University Anna Yuhrina won the first place in the category "Ecology and environmental problems" in All-Ukrainian environmental contest "Touch of Nature", which was held last week in Kiev.

This year to general ecological reserve of national importance "Dnipro rapids" is 40 years. With this occasion, November 1 in Zaporizhzhya National University was held a scientific conference with the participation of teachers and students of ZNU, of Zaporizhzhya school students, members of the National Reserve "Khortytsya" and Zaporizhzhya regional center of tourism and local history, sports and excursions for students.
