Weightlifters from European Championship brought three bronze medals to ZNU
The European Weightlifting Championship among juniors and youth took place in Poland. Four representatives of the Zaporizhzhia region, as part of the Ukrainian team, took part in the competition. The judo champion, the champion of the Paralympic Winter Games in Rio de Janeiro and the European games in Baku, Inna Chernyak won the World Cup in Paralympic Judo in Kazakhstan. About 200 athletes attended the competition from 20 countries and it was held on September 9-10. On the first day, a graduate of Zaporizhzhia national university, a pupil of “Invasport”, which is a regional center for physical culture and sports of invalids, a master of sports of Ukraine of international class Inna Chernyak, won a victory in her weight category of 52 kg.

Canoe marathon masters world cup was held in Portugal (Vila de Prado) from 6 to 9 September. Student of ZNU Liudmyla Babak came to the finish line first in the race at the marathon in the distance of 15.4 km among women. The sportswoman confirmed her leadership and became a two-time world champion at the marathon distances.
