The national team of Zaporizhzhia region continued its successful performance at the Ukrainian Weightlifting Championships among youth under 23 years old, which took place in the Black Sea. The silver award of Hanna Panova, a student of Zaporizhzhia National University, gave a great start to the other team members as the other day sportsmen of the region received three more gold awards!

In the city of Batumi, during the European championship in weightlifting among men and women, two athletes from Zaporizhzhia defended the honor of Ukraine. Among them is a student of Zaporizhzhia National University, the winner of numerous prestigious sports competitions, Kyrylo Pyrohov. He managed to get the "small bronze" of the European Championship in snatch, showing a result of 171 kg.

During the European championship in weightlifting, ZNU students represented Zaporizhzhia region.

Weightlifting championship of Ukraine among the juniors under-20 took place in Kolomyia. Athletes of Zaporizhzhia won a full set of medals, among which were representatives of ZNU.

According to the order of the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Ihor Zhdanov, the title of Honored Coach of Ukraine was given to the professor of the Faculty of Physical Education of Zaporizhzhia National University, First Deputy Chairman of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Center of the Weightlifting Federation of Ukraine, Senior teacher of the Specialized Children and Youth School of Olympic Reserve of Zaporizhzhia Regional Council Anatolii Anatoliiovych Orlov!

The other day the weightlifting championship of Ukraine took place in Kharkiv among boys and girls under 17 years old and among athletes of specialized Children and Youth Sports Schools of the Olympic Reserve. Students of the College of Economics and Law of ZNU brilliantly presented the university at the All-Ukrainian level and won gold and bronze for the Zaporizhzhia team.
