Finished the Conference "Scientific Potential of Zaporizhzhya National University and the ways of Its Development"

This year the event was devoted not only to the Science Day, celebrated on May 15th, but also to the 80th anniversary of ZNU creation. During three days the leading scientists of the University were discussing and analyzing their work of this academic year, and defining the further perspectives of development.

ZNU Students Took Part in Ecological Action "Green Initiative"

Before the Victory Day ZNU students took part in the Ecological Action "Green Initiative". The ecological sector of the Club of Intellectual Development and Active Rest "Lodia" along with IREX and Scientific Student Society of the Biological Department organized the action. 50 people from Zaporizhzhya and other regions participated in the clean-up project.

ZNU Scientists Took Part in the Public Forum

At the end of April in the Zaporizhzhya Oblast Institute of Postgraduate education there was the scientific forum "The Scientists For Volodymyr Semynozhenko’s Conception". Scientific Society of Students and Graduates took part in it. Ukrainian Humanitarian Policies and youth participation in the state development were discussed.

Seven of ZNU Students Won Scholarship Program ZAVTRA.UA

Recently the results of the 4th contest selection tour of the Victor Pinchuk Fund Scholarship Program "Zavtra.UA" were announced. The contest was being held from October 2009 till May 2010. 31 ZNU students participated in it and 1537 applications were submitted totally from all over Ukraine.

Mini-football Tournament "ZNU Entrant-2010" in the University

At the end of April there was the final game of the mini-football tournament among the ZNU entrants devoted to the 65th anniversary of the Great Victory. The competition organizer was the Department of Physical Education. The main aim of the event is to propagate the healthy life style among the secondary schools graduates and the recruiting to ZNU entering. The tournament winner is the team "Syzir'ya" from Vasylivka, Zaporizhzhya Oblast.

The Open Basketball Tournament's Winners Honored in ZNU

On May 7th in Sport Complex of ZNU the results of the Open Basketball Tournament devoted to the 65th anniversary of the Victory in WWII were named. Four teams had been competing for three days.
The representatives of the Zaporizhzhya Metallurgical College won the 1st place, 2nd place - athletes of the Zaporizhzhya National University, the 3rd place went to the Sumy State University, and the last place - Zaporizhzhya State Engineering Academy.

Solemn Meeting and Holiday Concert Devoted to the Victory Day

Traditionally the days before the Victory Day the ZNU faculty and staff gathered near the memorial to Teachers and Students, the ZNU Graduates lost during the World War II.
