December 7, in Zaporizhzhya Regional Academic Ukrainian Music and Drama Theatre of V. Magara, staged evening of memory of the famous poet, author of six books of poetry and many lyrics, Zaporizhzhya National University graduate Maryna Bratsylo "And remain - Word ...". The feast attended by many friends of the writer, representatives of Zaporizhzhya branch of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine, her family and friends.

December 4 at the Philological Faculty of Zaporizhzhya National University held a creative evening dedicated to 235-th anniversary of Ukrainian writer, journalist, literary critic and cultural and social activist Hrygory Kvitka-Osnovyanenko.

December 3 Zaporizhzhya National University visited the famous poet and prose writer, one of the most popular contemporary local writers Pavlo Volvach and writer, publisher, social and political activist Volodymyr Shovkoshytny. During the meeting with teachers and students of Faculty of Philology and Journalism, artists presented their novels: "Khreschatyk Plaza" of Pavlo Volvach and "The White gyrfalcon" of Volodymyr Shovkoshytny.

During November 19-20, took place at the Faculty of Philology of the first All-Ukrainian scientific-practical conference of young scientists and students "Actual problems of Slavonic Philology". Co-organizers of this scientific event was Tavria National University of V. Vernadsky, Odessa National University of I.I. Mechnikov, Mariupol State University, Zaporizhzhya National Technical University. A great effort for the organization of the conference made ​​scientists of Ukrainian literature and Russian Philology of ZNU.

November 20 at the Philological Faculty of Zaporizhzhya National University held a meeting of Ukrainian poet, translator, literary critic and social-political activist Dmytro Pavlychko with students.

November 13 at the Museum of ZNU, students of the Faculty of Philology held a roundtable discussion dedicated the 75th anniversary of the birth of Russian writer Benedict Erofeev.

November 13 at the Philological Faculty of Zaporizhzhya National University during the celebration of the Day of Ukrainian literature and language were intellectual contest "I love Ukraine".

Within a week of the Ukrainian language, which is currently ongoing at ZNU, there was a celebration of Ukrainian literature and language. It prepared and conducted by representatives of the Faculty of Philology with the support of Center of cultural and mass work.

October 3 at the Philological Faculty of Zaporizhzhya National University was solemnly opening of All-Ukrainian conference "Zaporizhzhya in the humanitarian discourse". Proposed to study and discuss the topic interested scientists from many leading national universities: the event was attended by representatives of higher education institutions from Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhya, Kryvyi Rih, Lugansk, Melitopol, Odessa and more.

September 27 at the Philological Faculty of ZNU solemnly celebrated the 50th anniversary of scientific and educational activities professor of Russian Philology, Valentyn Ivanenko. To congratulate Valentyn Kuzmovych with half a century of tireless and creative work within the walls of our university attended Rector of ZNU Mykola Frolov, First Vice-Rector Olexander Bondar, teachers of all departments and students of the faculty.
