March 25 at the Faculty of Biology of ZNU within a framework of the Faculty Week held a contest "The best connoisseur by Biology" for the 4-5 years students of speciality "Biology". Organizers of the event – teachers of the Department of Immunology and Biochemistry – also dedicated on account of 170th anniversary of the birth of the famous immunologist and microbiologist Illia Mechnykov, which will celebrate on May 15. Participants demonstrated not only the scientific presentations, but also participated in the theoretical round, which included questions on basic subjects for four years of study.
March 25-27 in Zaporizhzhya held a seminar on the theme "Gender Auditing of the Universities as an instrument of politis realization of equal rights and opportunities for women and men in the educational sphere". Organizers of the event are the Center for Gender Education of the Faculty of Social Pedagogy and Psychology of ZNU and supported by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Ukraine.
March 25 Zaporizhzhya National University on the initiative Faculty of Foreign Philology was a charity fair "Feast of good" on collection costs for soldiers who are treated in Zaporizhzhya military hospital. During the long breaks ground in front of the second academic building, sold pastries, sweets and handicrafts. The event was attended by students, teachers and guests of the university.
Ukrainian team won the competition of coastal rowing in the Cup of Prince Albert II, which held last month in Monaco. Led Ukrainian team PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy of ZNU Vadym Zubov. Total, the competition, which was organized by Federation of Rowing Society for Marine and Monaco, was attended by 450 athletes from 14 countries.
March 19, on the basis of Shevchenkivskyi District administration 17 students of the Faulty of Biology the 3-5 years students together with Deputy dean for Research of the Faculty of Biology Vira Kopiika took part in presentation of courses of emergency medical assistance. Among students of the Faculty Many alumni of medical schools who continued their studying in ZNU and planning to link their future work with medical and biological branch (Work in clinical diagnostic laboratories).
20-March 22, held in Kharkiv XXII Ukrainian Armwrestling Championship. In total it took part more than 200 sportsmen from 19 regions of our country, including – 7 sportsmen of Zaporizhzhya region. Among others, presented our region the student of the Faculty of Law of ZNU, multiple winner of the competitions of different levels Roman Ahaiev.
Students of the Economics and Law College of Zaporizhzhya National University continued actively take part in meetings of the section of VII University Scientific and Practical Conference of Students, Postgraduates and Young Scientists "Young Science 2015". March 18, the 1-4 years students presented their scientific works during the meeting of the session of information technology and programming.
March 19, at Zaporizhzhya National University held next working conference for students. Its participants - delegates of students from all faculties of our university - considered a number of important questions related with student's self-government in Higher Educational Institution. They listened the report by the head of Student Council of ZNU Olha Lebedieva according to the results of student's active of the last year, voted for the proposed quota students of autonomous bodies affiliated of the Scientific Council and updated the list of student-delegates at the Conference of staff members. They also approved cost estimate for 2015 year and decree the changes to the provisions "About student's self-government of ZNU".
