Creative studio "Shining Easter egg" for the sixth time held on the basis of the Zaporizhzhya National University. In these days before holidays all interested persons can learn the technique of traditional type of Ukrainian folk art going to in the hall of the Faculty of Philology to take part in master classes under the direction of master of folk art Olena Shulha. This wonderful tradition of our university owes its existence to the initiative representatives of the Faculty of Philology, including Head of the Department of Ukrainian Studies Olha Stadnichenko.

Within the framework of one and half month of the tour presentation of the new book "Life of Mary" in Zaporizhzhya visited the famous writer, translator and an essayist Serhei Zhadan. During a meeting with students and teachers of ZNU and especially of the Faculty of Philology – organizer of the meeting, – and guests of the event Serhii Viktorovych not only talked about features of creation and composition poetry collection, revealed his creative vision, but also answered on different questions. Guest shared his vision of the situation now in the East of Ukraine and also outlined possible ways of development of national culture.

Within Shevchenko's event 2015 at the Philological Faculty passed a literary evening "Musicality of Taras Shevchenko works". Under the guidance of Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Language Nataliia Zubets prepared it is prepared by freshmen of the Faculty of Philology of ZNU.

At the beginning of March in Ukraine traditionally held a number of major events to commemorate the brilliant master, social activist, social activist, spiritual father of the Ukrainian nation of Taras Shevchenko. Is no exception and this year, in these difficult times our people looking for the power and inspiration in the prophetic lines of the Kobzar. Teachers and students of the Faculty of Philology of ZNU, as always, joined to the observance Shevchenko days. March 5 at the Faculty of Philology of Zaporizhzhya National Universitywas held the first academic reading between universities "Actual problems of comparative studies" devoted to the anniversary of the birth of professor of Russian Philology of ZNU, Doctor of Philology Volodymyr Tykhomyrov, who passed away on November 29, 2013.

March 3 in the Republic of Bulgaria celebrates one of the most important national holiday – the Day of Liberation from Ottoman Turkish subjugation, which marks its liberation from nearly 500 years of the Ottoman and establishing the independence of this country. To celebrate this remarkable date involved representatives of the Bulgarian communities and cultural organizations from all around the world, without an exception there were members of the Bulgarian Diaspora of our city. Due to the joint efforts of representatives of the Department of International Relations and work with Foreign Students of ZNU and teacher of the Faculty of Philology Ivana Simeonova on the basis of our University today organized a celebration for them.

21 January in the School of philological sciences on the basis of ZNU was held a seminar for language teachers, dedicated to preparation questions for the External Independent Tests and Entrance Campaign-2015. Teachers also had the chance to review the tendencies of the development of modern philology during the lectures prepared by teachers of Zaporizhzhya National University.

January 20 at the Philological Faculty was held aceremony of awarding Diploma Supplements of the European standard. This year is a record number of students who decided to order a document certifying professional qualifications internationally. This desire found 30 representatives of specialty "Ukrainian and Literature" (12 masters and 18 bachelors) and three Master students of specialty "Russian and Literature".
