January 22nd, in the hall of Zaporizhzhya Regional Ukrainian Music and Drama Theatre. V. Magara held awarding candidate of historical sciences, associate professor of Source Studies Department, Historiography and Special Historical Disciplines Kniazkov Yurii Petrovych. The city mayor Volodymyr Buriak handed to the researcher medal by Zaporizhzhya City Council "For personal contribution to the development of Zaporizhzhya" for many research activities, promotion of local history and publishing fundamental scientific work "Streets of Zaporizhzhya."

January, 21 in Zaporizhzhya Regional and Universal Science Library by Horkyi held celebrations devoted to anniversary of its founding. Traditionally in the exhibition hall of the employees of that institution organized a demonstration of literature, which transferred in funds to indifferent readers, publishers and educational institutions of the region. Prominent place in the exhibition occupied a selection of books, transferred by scientists of the Faculty of History of Zaporizhzhya National University.

January, 21 at the Faculty of Foreign Languages the meeting of the working group, in which faculty and staff discussed the academic performance of students of the faculty.

January 16, in Zaporizhzhya National University held a regional, final, stage of Olympiad in Physical Training among pupils of 9-11 forms. The organizers of this event were representatives of Zaporizhzhya Regional Institute of Postgraduate Education of Zaporizhzhya city council.

During the work visit to ZNU representatives of Tartu University Narva College (Estonia) visited Faculty of Social Pedagogics and Psychology. Scientists discussed with teachers of ZNU topics such as the history of the profession of social pedagogue and specificity of socio-pedagogical work in Ukraine and Estonia, and identified possible ways of cooperation. In addition, special guests of the faculty visiting the stage prepared by students of the Faculty of SPP.

Faculty of Economics graduate student (specialty "Finance and Credit") Oleksandr Korobov from September 2015 as a member of an international academic exchange program «Erasmus Electra» is in training at the Polytechnic University in Turin (Italy). But January 11-12 Oleksandr visited the home department and met with its students. The event was organized by Oleksandr's Korobov supervisor, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Professor Alla Cherep.

Yesterday, on January 12, during the visit of representatives of Tartu University Narva College (Estonia) to Zaporizhzhya National University held a presentation of educational programs that this institution offers education for students and teachers of different faculties of ZNU.

Based on the Junior Business Management Academy of Kommunar regional center of youth and students held city tournament in information technology. Tournament organizers were: the Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Zaporizhzhya City Council, Department of Economics of Zaporizhzhya National University, and ZOIPPO Komunarskiy regional center of youth and students.

Yesterday, on January 11, held a meeting of the First Vice-Rector of ZNU Oleksandr Bondar, Vice Rector for Science and Research Gennadiy Vasylchuk, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Philology Halyna Moroshkina, Dean of Social Sciene and Administration Maksym Lepskyi,Head of the International Office Victoria Vertegel with delegation of Narva College of Tartu University.
