Traditionally, the Third International Scientific and Practical Conference Actual Problems of Physical Education, Sport and Tourism in Modern Life Conditions took place in ZNU at the Department of Physical Education.
The free seminar Cambridge Day took place in ZNU. It was designed for the teachers of English and students with participation of the representatives of the Cambridge University Press, Cambridge ESOL Examinations, British Councils, Linguist Company, Zaporizhzhya Linguistic Center Euroknuha, Department of Post-Graduate Studies of ZNU, and Department of Foreign Languages.
The resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine from August 27, 2010 "About the List of the Paid Services for Students of the State and Municipal Educational Establishments" is being discussed in ZNU.
The first scientific and practical seminar "State Service and Local Self-governance" was held in ZNU at the Department of Sociology and Administration. It was devoted to the discussing of the Project of the Ukrainian State Personnel Policy.
There was the meeting of the former Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, three times in service Member of Parliament Stanislav Nikolaenko with the ZNU faculty and students at the political science club.
Traditionally many foreign professors give lectures in ZNU. The Professor of the Institute of Polish Philology of Wroclaw University Helena Soyka-Mashtalezh came to ZNU with the lecture about the lingual image of the Ukrainian people in the Polish press.
Within the celebration of the Day of Physical Culture and Sport there was the holiday meeting at the Zaporizhzhya Oblast Administration. The best athletes of Zaporizhzhya were honored with prizes. Among them were our students.
Sergiy Gorbachov came to ZNU on September 3rd. He gave the lecture "What Is Expected from the New Journalist in the New Publication?" The lecturer didn't come to ZNU accidentally: he is an alumnus of Zaporizhzhya State Pedagogical Institute. Moreover he is a founder and first director of the city lyceum "Logos".
Last academic year 2009-2010 traditionally was very successful for the ZNU students. They win the best prizes at the All-Ukrainian Contest and Olympics in natural sciences, technical and humanitarian disciplines.
