June 2019 is the month of the 50th anniversary of the death of Viktor Petrov (1894-1969), a Ukrainian writer, critic, historian and philologist. From the point of view of a problematic, research search, artistic uniqueness and substantial filling, its scientific and literary heritage is one of the outstanding achievements of modern Ukrainian humanities. The ideas of Viktor Petrov are compared with the thoughts of prominent intellectuals, such as Friedrich Nietzsche, Bernard Shaw and Michel Foucault.

The introduction of new library services simplifies the process of searching for information, makes it possible to quickly and efficiently satisfy the needs of students and scholars of the university. Today it is not necessary to come to the library premises to use its services. The library focuses on a remote user who can visit it at any time via the Internet.

Two-day Ukrainian-German conference "Climate Adaptation: Challenges and Prospects at the National, Regional and Local Levels" began its work on June 6 in Dnipro city. The event was held with the support of the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Donetsk (office in Dnipro) and the environmental organization “The Voice of Nature”.

The European Championship in rowing was held in the Swiss city of Lucerne. Zaporizhzhia region in the national team of Ukraine was presented by the current world record holder graduate of ZNU student Oleksandr Nadtoka. The Ukrainian quadruple sculls Dmytro Mikhai, Serhii Hryn, Oleksandr Nadtoka, Ivan Dovhodko in qualifying showed the third time in their race - 06: 00.780, then was the third in the semi-final A / B 05: 49.310.  And in the final was the sixth with a score of 05: 43.970.

On June 4, Zaporizhzhia National University was visited by 320 applicants, who on this day passed an external independent evaluation in History of Ukraine.  Zaporizhzhia National University has traditionally become the point of conducting external independent evaluation, where were created all comfortable conditions for testing knowledge for graduates of Zaporizhzhia schools.

Recently, scientific, educational, historical and cultural platform "From historical glory to a successful future" has been held in the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration. Among the organizers were the Center of Polish language and culture by John III Sobieski of ZNU represented by Ph.D. Hanna Makushynska and the Department of Finance, Banking and Insurance of the Engineering Institute of ZNU represented by the Head of the Department, Doctor of Economics Nataliia Metelenko.

On May 31, students of colleges and universities of Zaporizhzhia took part in the All-Ukrainian race “Student Mile - 2019”, which was held at the stadium “Spartak-Classical Private University”. Students of Zaporizhzhia National University also joined this sporting event. It should be noted that this race was held simultaneously in all regions of Ukraine and everyone could join the race.

On May 30, the next stage of the main session of external independent evaluation was held on the basis of Zaporizhzhia National University. 260 graduates of institutions of secondary education from Zaporizhzhia and its region took part in the EIE in physics.

The introductory campaign has almost started, as for many students the last school bell has already sounded. Therefore, now they have to choose the higher education institution, in which they will continue their studies. Mykola Oleksandrovych assured entrants that they are welcomed at Zaporizhzhia National University - the leading HEI of the South of Ukraine.

On May 29, within the framework of cooperation in the field of energy efficiency, a working meeting was held in ZNU between university administration, scientists of ZNU and Engineering Institute, Zaporizhzhia officials and foreign guests - representatives of German and Polish universities.
