Today, on the 16th of May, Minister of Education and Science Liliia Hrynevych congratulated Nataliia Oleksandrivna, Assistant Professor of the Department of Ukrainian language on receiving honorable mention of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for long-term conscientious work and training of highly skilled specialists.

There was a training seminar on the topic "Education is endless adventure” in the framework of the Days of Ukrainian-Polish culture, science and education "Pod jednym niebem" and the Days of Europe-2019 "Ukraine - Poland - Slovakia" which take place from May 1 to June 23. The event for the Zaporizhzhia public, which is interested in learning the Polish language and culture, was held by the representative of the Unit for the Development of Polish Education Abroad (Warsaw) Eva Ploska.

Every year on the third Thursday of May, Vyshyvanka Day is celebrated around the world. On this day, millions of Ukrainians wear national clothes instead of normal. Professors, staff and students of ZNU have been actively involved in this remarkable tradition for several years.

On May 14, the Engineering Institute of Zaporizhzhia National University was visited by a participant in the project of the scholarship program from the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Olha Pidopryhara. Relying on her own experience, she told the students about the benefits of participating in the project and advised how to fill out an application in order to succeed.

Baku hosted the judo tournament of the prestigious World Series Grand Prix, among athletes with visual impairments - IBSA Judo Grand- Prix Baku 2019. Famous Zaporizhzhia resident and a graduate of Zaporizhzhia National University Inna Cherniak took part in the Paralympic Games (2016).

Representatives of ZNU and the Institute of Engineering of ZNU took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Theory and Practice: Problems and Prospects", which was held on May 9-10 at Lithuanian University of Sport (Kaunas) and Marijampolė College (Marijampolė).

Rowing Cup of Ukraine took place in Dnipro. Well-known athlete, graduate student of ZNU, Oleksandr Nadtoka added the highest award in the competition of twos doubles sculls to the gold which he won the day before in another competition. In a pair with a representative of Dnipro, Ivan Dovhodko, Oleksandr Nadtoka finished first, showing the result of 6.26.48 seconds according to the portal "Zaporizhzhia Sport".

On May 10-11, the National Debate Tournament took place in Kyiv. The first day began with a welcoming part, which was continued by the lectures for a detailed introduction to the tournament topics. The second day was dedicated to the competition itself, in which 35 teams from different cities of Ukraine took part. The game was conducted in three stages: 2 rounds and final.
