On March 21, Kateryna Dotsenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Social Communication, Advertising and Public Relations, offered to hold a joint workshop with American journalists Brendan Hoffman and Rene Hickman. The famous photographer in Zaporizhzhia Borys Dvornyi and his students also joined this event.
On March 19-20, the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Ukraine - the European Union: from partnership to association" was held at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. It was organized jointly with the Ukrainian Association of Professors and Researchers of European Integration and the National Erasmus + office in Ukraine with the support of the program of Lviv City Council “Scientific Lviv”.
Students of Zaporizhzhia and professors of the Faculty of Foreign Philology of ZNU continue fruitful cooperation with French colleagues in the fields of education, culture and linguistics. On March 22, the faculty was visited by the director of the organization “French without Borders” (Lyon, France), Benjamin Beckner, who gave a lecture to students on the interaction and interdependence of French and English. It should be noted that this organization has been successfully cooperating with Zaporizhzhia National University since 2010, and work in this direction continues further.
The opening of the exhibition of the American documentary photographer Brendan Hoffman “Brotherland: war in Ukraine” took place in the scientific library of ZNU. The event was attended by professors and students of the Faculty of Journalism, employees of the library and other university departments, and representatives of the regional media.
On March 21, a round table conference was held at the Faculty of Journalism with the participation of American photojournalist Brendan Hoffman. The event was held in the framework of the opening of the photo exhibition “Brotherland: war in Ukraine” in ZNU. Honorary guest of ZNU, American journalist and scholar of the U.S. Fulbright program Rene Hickman joined the event to discuss current social issues, the image of Ukraine in the world, standards of journalism, etc.
The International Conference “Place of Ukraine in the World: Municipal Marketing and Branding” was held as part of the PLEDDG project in Kyiv. The conference included group discussions and workshops on municipal branding and marketing. The Engineering Institute of ZNU was also presented among the participants.
The 1st Young Researchers’ International Web Conference «Language, Culture, Communication the Expanding Intellectual Space» was held at the Faculty of Foreign Philology on March 20, 2019. Organized by Zaporizhzhia National University, Polonia University (Czestochowa, Poland) and Lviv State University of Life Safety, it was a successful startup of collaboration between ZNU, other Ukrainian and Polish Universities. The Conference welcomed over 60 participants from various regions of Ukraine:Zaporizhzhia State Medical University, Kharkiv National Agrarian University named after V. V. Dokuchaiev, National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, among them.
Round table meeting "Partnership of universities and business: the commercialization of university research" was held on March 19 in Kyiv. The event was organized in the framework of the International Technical Assistance Project “Partnership for Urban Development” (PLEDDG) which is implemented from April 2015 to December 2020 by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities with the financial support of the Ministry of International Affairs of Canada. Representatives of the PLEDDG project of the business and analytics sector, as well as leading higher education institutions took part in the discussion of topical issues. Zaporizhzhia National University during the event was represented by vice-rector for scientific work Hennadii Vasylchuk.
