The 3rd year students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages of Zaporizhzhya National University in June will work on a volunteer basis in summer language camps of Zaporizhzhya. The initiative of this honorable mission belongs to Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and organizer of the project stands in Zaporizhzhya Department of Education and Science of Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration in cooperation with communal institution "Zaporizhzhya regional center of tourism and study of local lore of students" of Zaporizhzhya Regional Council. Yesterday, May 25, at the faculty held methodical seminar where students acquainted with their future responsibilities and received useful information on the organization of language classes for students.
The day before of his return to home, Zaporizhzhya National University guest from Liverpool shared his impressions on staying at the university and in our city. Kiron Reid for the third time visited Zaporizhzhya and again worked as a teacher and a volunteer at ZNU. A lawyer by profession, gave lectures not only for future lawyers but also for students of the Faculty of Foreign Languagrs and the Faculty of Journalism. Sociable Englishman not transcend by academic hours but also during the month he had meetings with Heads of ZNU Departments as well as communicated with the university administration and visited student's concerts.
May 18. at the Faculty of Journalism hosted a master class on media education and mediacritic who has spent the guest of ZNU - Head of the Department of new media at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv Ivan Franko University, Institute of Ecology of the mass- media, professor Borys Potiatynyk. The participation in the event were attended students of directions "Journalism" and "Advertising and public relations."
May 18 at the Faculty of Philology Zaporizhzhya National University held first scientific readings and memory of the famous poet, satirist, theorist of literature and public figure, alumnum of our university Petro Rebro. This event brought together representatives of artistic circles of Zaporizhzhya, teachers and students of our University. Petro Pavlovych Rebro family and inhabitants from village Bilotserkivka – small Motherland of the poet. During the event, participants discussed various facets of the great artistic and scientific heritage of the artist, heard poems Petro Rebro, and also told to the audience about the foundation of our award named after the famous countryman.
May 16 students of the Faculty of Social Pedagogics and Psychology participated in the quest "I am against violence", organized by the Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Zaporizhzhya City Council together with Zaporizhzhya regional public organization "Association of psychologists and psychiatrists "Cooperation". Quest held within the project "Self-esteem and awareness as fighting of violence", which was aimed at fostering non-violent behaviors among youth.
On May 15 began a literary evening with these lines of great Ukrainian poetess Lina Kostenko: "Poetry - is always originality, a touch of the immortal soul ..." at the Faculty of Foreign Languages of ZNU.
May 8, students and teachers of College of Economics and Law of Zaporizhzhya National University honored dead in World War Two 1939-1945 years, celebrated Memorial World Day and reconciliation.
At the May holidays students of the Faculty of Philology of the area education “Ukrainian Language and Literature” alumni of specialty “Language and Literature (Russian)” traveled by Ukraine, during which learned about the monuments of culture in Kyiv and Lviv, and conquered the mountain tops of the Carpathians.
April 30, held a final reporting conference, which presented a report concerning the work of 2014-2015 academic years,and had chosen a new head Scientific Community of Students and Postgraduates, Doctoral Candidates and Young Scientists of the Faculty of Econiomics of ZNU.
