3^rd International Scientific and Practice Conference on Modern Problems in Biology, Ecology and Chemistry was held in ZNU, attended by scientists from Russia, Byelorussia, Kazakhstan, France, Spain, professors and  students from ZNU as well as many other HEIs of Ukraine. 

From May 11^th to July 17^th within the framework of Fulbright Academic Exchange Programme Professor from Illinois University (U.S.A.) Hui Chin Chao is teaching in ZNU.  She is giving lectures to students of 1^st to 3^rd  year at the Faculty of Journalism. 

Zaporizhzhya National University has participated in the 5^th International Environment-2012 Exhibition within the framework of International ‘Environment for Ukraine’ Environmental Forum, held in Kyiv. 

May, 10 an official session of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students Scientific Society (UPSSS) on Science Day was held at the Faculty of Law. The event was dedicated to summarizing activity achievements by Scientific Society throughout the academic year. 

Some ten days ago a round-table meeting was held at the Faculty of Law, initiated by Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students Scientific Society. 

Annual University Competitions have come to an end. Student teams representing all ZNU faculties and the College of Economics and Law took part in the 6-sport events: draughts, chess, table tennis, volleyball, basketball and street ball. 

Following the Prospective Affairs schedule and programme of ‘Young University’ Talented School Students Scientific Society, contest in Mathematics and Computer Science was organised at the Faculty of Mathematics, which had four nominations: Best Paper in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Sciences and Programming.

On the eve of Victory Day celebrations the 4^th Basketball Championship was held between student basketball teams, with participation of teams from ZNU, Sumy State University, Chornomorskyi Petro Mohyla State University (Mykolaiv) and Chernivtsi Trade and Economics Institute of Kyiv National Trade and Economics University.
