More Photographers in Melitopol

On February 23rd the ZNU Department of Economics and Law in Melitopol welcomed the first graduates of Artistic Photographing Major. Eleven graduates completed the studying course at the department's Center of Business Education and received the state certificates.

State Language Functioning Discussed in Zaporizhzhya

On February 23rd the round table discussion devoted to the Native Tongue Day was organized by the Department of Philology. The department seniors and Assistant Professor of Ukrainian Language Chair Taras Shevchenko invited students and faculty staff to the discussion. The main idea of the event was to provoke everyone to answer the question why Ukrainian language is still under the pressure and in danger in our society.

ZNU Representatives Participated in Ukrainian Convention of Young Scientists

On February 18th in V. Karazin Kharkiv National University there was the regional convention of the representatives of scientific organizations of Ukrainian higher educational establishments. It was organized by the Student Scientific Society of this university and the Ukrainian Association of Student Self-Government. Svitlana Syrytsya, head of ZNU Scientific Society of Students and Graduate Students, participated in the event and presented the University publications Scientist and Graduate Student.

Scientist from Irkutsk Visited ZNU

This February within the cooperation program of Zaporizhzhya National University and Irkutsk State Agricultural Academy (Russian Federation) the Candidate of Biological Science Alexander Sinilov visited the University. He gave the lecture "Morphological Features of Charska Valley's and South of Yakutia's Cabarga" at Biological Department of ZNU. The scientist invited the students and teachers to conduct series of internships in Irkutsk.

KVN Semi-Finals in ZNU

This year KVN season is about to finish in ZNU. Two semi-finals gathered 10 teams on February 17th and 18th. The Valentine's Day was the topic of the game. According to the results of jury's evaluation the finalists of the year are: ZSKA, «Up'yatochky (Departments of Philology and Journalism), «66, Zhukovsky str.» (Department of Physics), «Barberry» (Department of Social Pedagogy and Psychology), «3.4-2» (Department of Law), «Nayabr'» (Department of Foreign Languages).
