Yesterday the event dedicated to International Mother Language Day ‘Oh, my mother’s precious language, what am I without you!’ was held in the Reading Hall of Linguistics. It was organised and carried out by the Faculty of Philology.
International Mother Language Day is ‘the day that encourages linguistic and cultural diversity and variety worldwide’, adopted at the 30th session of UNESCO General Conference held on October, 26 - November 17, 1999 in Paris and is celebrated annually since 2000 on February, 21.
