Zhovtnevyi district meeting-requiem devoted to the 66th anniversary of the Zaporizhzhya release from fascists’ occupation took place near the Memorial of the tank equipage USSR Hero M.M.Yatsenko on October 13th.
October 12th near Zaporizhzhya City Council there was the opening of the annual city youth action “Let's Save Native City”. The action was organized by the Committee of Family and Youth of Zaporizhzhya City Council in coordination with activists of Zaporizhzhya National University headed by Inna Derevinska
The chair of ZNU Social Philosophy and Administration Sub-department Vitaliy Volovyk was decorated with “For Services” Order by Victor Yuschenko.
ZNU took an active part in organizing Zaporizhzhya City Day, which was being celebrated on October 10th. Students were dancing, joking, and singing at the Fair.
Verkhovna Rada Vice-Head Mykola Tomenko visted ZNU on Zaporizhzhya City Day. He congratulated volleyball team “Orbita-Universytet” with the beginning of the 19th Ukrainian Championship in the women volleyball super league, and gave lecture named “Ukraine in the World Geopolitical Space”.
Journalism Department hosted the visit of Lulea Technical University (Sweden) teachers on October 8th. They gave several master classes in photojournalism, documentary and filming, and radio journalism.
The round table devoted to International Non-Violence Day was held in the University. The event was organized by the Department of Social Pedagogy and Psychology and Center of Public and Social Initiatives.
