On October 20th the student volunteers of the Biological Department of ZNU organized the charity action for the orphanage "Sonechko" ("The Sun"). The unforgettable experience of communicating with children, the positive emotions and impressions forced the students to make the actions traditional.
On October 21st in Zaporizhzhya National University there was the opening of the Esenin Festival, devoted to the 135th birthday anniversary of the famous Russian poet Sergey Esenin. The festival began from the contest of the poetry reciters. The Rector Sergiy Tymchenko himself supports the festival this year. 
The week of the Department of Social Pedagogy and Psychology was very interesting ans full of events. The scientific readings, master-classes in acting mastery, vocalism, choreography, and stage fighting, computer psycho diagnostics of the students, the psychological club meeting, volunteering action within the joint state program of the family support and the project of the Charity Fund "Hope", and the open lecture in discipline "Pedagogic of the Higher Education" were held. The holiday concert ended the week.
The unique program of the energy saving in ZNU, which helps the university to save two million hryvnyas a year, became an example for other educational establishments and in the city. 
The student of the Utrecht higher school of journalism (Netherlands) Karen van Dijk visited ZNU, where participated in the political science club meeting. The topic of discussion was "The Figure of Stalin in Modern Social and Humanitarian Ukrainian Discourse. Students' Opinions, Interpretations, Thoughts".
The students of the Law Department and the Department of the Sociology and Administrating of Zaporizhzhya National University took part in the public hearings "The Development of the Local Democracy in the Self-Government Bodies Nowadays. Youth Participating in the Law Making Processes. Students and Pupils Self-Governing in Zaporizhzhya Oblast". The event was organized both by Zaporizhzhya Oblast Council and Zaporizhzhya Oblast Youth Council and was devoted to the Open Day within the celebration of the Week of European Local Democracy.
