In connection with the numerous requests of students, parents and representatives of public organizations on the organization of the educational process in institutions of higher education for the winter-spring period of the 2018/2019 school year, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine prepared several orders.  In particular, the letter of the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Yurii Rashkevych states that, according to the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education”, higher educational institutions use various forms of organization of the educational process during the year and can determine their own sequence for their own academic autonomy.  At the same time, the number of classroom hours planned for the academic year remains constant and under any conditions, including climatic conditions, must be fulfilled.

On November 13, 2018, the rector of the university Mykola Frolov signed the order of ZNU No. 426 “On the creation of Engineering Institute of Zaporizhzhia National University”. The document states that this process takes place in connection with the production need, namely, the merger, in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated 10.29.2018 No. 1162 "On the reorganization of the Zaporizhzhia State Engineering Academy into Zaporizhzhia National University”.

On an exceptional basis Ministry of Education and Science in Ukraine let the managers of the colleges and technical schools, which accept students after the ninth grade to give the entrants the permission for admission the documents with the presence of the certificate of birth.
