On December 2-4, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv again hosted the training for participants of the Erasmus + KA2 DESTIN project, including three teachers ZNU Faculty of Journalism: Dean Viktor Kostiuk, Deputy Dean for International Affairs Katerina Sirinyok-Dolgaryova and Associate Professor of Journalism Iurii Kostiuk. Participants learned the basics of writing program descriptors, syllabi and methods of self-assessment of study programs in journalism.
The associate professors of the Faculty of Journalism are exchanging experience of teaching journalism in Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland. The agenda of the visit contains studying about organization of the educational process, work of student mass media and media laboratories in cooperation with employers.
Representatives of ZNU took the next planned step in the framework of the Erasmus + KA2 DESTIN project. The first was a study visit to the Bath Spa University (UK) in January this year. Recently, a teaching delegation consisting of associate professors of the Department of Journalism Yuri Kostiuk, Pavlo Miroshnychenko and Katerina Sirinyok-Dolgaryova went on a study visit to Linnaeus University and the Fojo Media Institute (Kalmar, Sweden).
International project activity is one of the priorities in the development of Zaporizhzhia National University. International vector has been fully encouraged and supported by the management of the university, in particular, Rector Mykola Frolov. Gennadii Vasylchuk, Vice-rector for scientific research, and Yurii Kaganov, Vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work, provide general coordination and support for HEI’s scholars in the implementation of their plans. As a result, ZNU has proved once again its potential internationally: consortium of Ukrainian and international HEI partners is among project-winners of the call 2019 in the field of Development of Higher Education Potential of the European Union Program, Erasmus +, that will implement the program «Foreign Language Teacher Training Capacity Development as a Way to Ukraine's Multilingual Education and European Integration »(610427-EPP-1-2019-1-EE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP).
Beach Volleyball Cup of Ukraine has been held in Kharkiv. 32 pairs competed for the awards in the male section. Among them is a graduate of Zaporizhzhia National University, Serhii Popov, together with Yaroslav Hordieiev.
The information system «Vstup.OSVITA.UA», which publishes rating lists of applicants, has published the top 100 domestic institutions of higher education in terms of the number of applications submitted by applicants. Zaporizhzhia National University entered the top 20 and became the best among HEIs of Zaporizhzhia according to this indicator.
Technical conference METEC & 4th ESTAD 2019 (European Steel Technology and Application Days) has taken place in the city of Düsseldorf (Germany) on the grounds of the Messe Düsseldorf Exhibition. It covers all areas of technological processes of metallurgy. It is a leading technical forum of the European steel industry, which focuses on steel production, where the best metallurgy experts of the world gather to exchange ideas and experiences.
Additional third session in November will be arranged for applicants who enter the magistracy and want to re-pass SEE in foreign language. The corresponding order of the Ministry of Education and Science was published on July 17, 2019.
