Visit by French publisher to the Faculty of Foreign Philology

Representative of French publishing house ‘Hachette’ and teacher of French Olivier Martin attends the Faculty of Foreign Philology. ‘Hachette’ is specializing in publishing course books for all proficiency levels in French as a foreign language.

Mister Martin has shown video-presentation of new materials by ‘Hachette’ (France) to professors of Departments of Romance Philology and Translation, and Teaching Second Foreign Language. The meeting was also visited by faculty graduates and teachers of French in the language courses, along with Volodymyr Gozhyi, founder of French Amateurs Club.
Olivier Martin has revealed brand-new publications made by the publishing house. He also highlighted that advanced approaches are being implemented while creating course materials. Teaching and learner's aids and reading books are published along with audio- and DVD disks. A lot of useful information and tips, in particular teacher's book and subtitled videos illustrating grammar exercises can be found at official site www.hachettefle.fr
The editions are developed both for beginners who are at the primary steps in mastering grammar and phonetics, and advanced learners preparing to take examination for international DELF certificate.
Together with Olivier Martin professors have performed several game exercises and watched videos, also a representative from TSP Company ('Your modern textbook') talked on teaching specifics applied in these textbooks at language courses. It should be mentioned, that Mister Martin has come to Ukraine by courteous invitation from TSP Company. The guests have also visited Donetsk and scheduled the next meeting in Kyiv, which will take place afterwards.
Several samples of teaching materials were presented to Galyna Moroshkina, its faculty dean by Olivier Martin, who also thanked her for the meeting organisation and stressed that he was pleased to see engagement and collaboration on the part of teaching staff.
