ZNU graduate will take part in European Championship in wrestling

Belgrade (Serbia), March 6-11 a European Championship in wrestling will be held. Sportsmen in Graeco-Roman wrestling are going to compete for Continental Championship medals. National teams’ line-up is already selected. Among other sportsmen representing Zaporizhzhya region is Armen Vardanian, graduate of Zaporizhzhya National University

Bronze prize-winner in Olympics, Beijing, graduate of the Faculty of Physical Education (ZNU) Armen Vardanian is going to compete in 66kg weight class. Meanwhile, Yevgen Orlov, representing Zaporizhzhya and Dnipropetrovsk goes in 120kg weight class. Both of the sportsmen will try their force in Graeco-Roman wrestling.
The sportsmen have been preparing for the event in Hungary and currently are undergoing final trainings in Koncha-Zaspa (Kyiv region).
Although the Championship is not being qualified as licensing for Olympics 2012, nevertheless ‘Prosport’ site regards it as a perfect trial for the sportsmen before qualification stage which is due in April.
