Second year students of Slavic Linguistics, supervised by Assoc. Prof. Valentyna Kravchenko have applied their creativity while holding traditional Taras Shevchenko Readings. The reports on key autobiography issues of renowned Kobzar gave way to music and drama performance after one of the poet's works

The idea revealed at the commemoration event was the role taken by the beloved women in the life of a poet, artist and public figure as well. According to the programme hosts Alyona Matiychuk and Kateryna Rybak, despite of failures in his private life Taras Shevchenko has succeeded to be a “widely known singer of mother and woman as a talisman”.
Lyrical monologues on behalf of the women that have taken significant place in the poet’s life were delivered by the students.
Senior students provided their help to younger colleagues with 4 year student Mykola Bilyk reciting the most lyric works by Taras Shevchenko.
The event participants claimed, that their aim was to reveal the great Kobzar as a living person with abundant talents, who regardless of all his everyday trials is serving through his works to his own nation and mankind in general.
As Assoc. Prof. Valentyna Kravchenko stated in the end, the students have already received invitation to visit secondary school # 32 to showcase their own perception of the Kobzar's personal and creative life path.
