Candidate to the post of Zaporizhzhya National University Rector Sergiy Gomeniuk to meet with academic community
May 25, candidates to the Rector’s Office started off with presenting their election programmes. Faculty of Mathematics dean, Professor Sergiy Gomeniuk took the lead.
While taking the floor the candidate presented personal ideas and propositions on scientific and study activities organisation as well as strategies for ongoing University’s growth. The programme ‘ZNU: Stable and Sustainable Development’ was delivered before the academic community and student body.
Sergiy Gomeniuk singled out key goals, set before him: elaborating distance learning, intensifying prospective students’ activitiy; enhancing international activities development and growth; creating opportunities and conditions for middle-age students' learning (professional retraining, postgraduate education etc.); stimulating research endeavours; enhancing mutual cooperation with enterprises and private companies; providing opportunities for scholars’ studies (involvement in conferences, academic and research trips); re-introducing financial incentives for research advisers and postgraduate degree candidates; updating University infrastructure (energy saving, campus and hostels’ maintenance and repair, launching ZNU Hall at campus bld. 8 etc).
After the speech everyone was free to put the questions and get responses from the candidate in person.
