The Cycle of the Teacher Knowledge Seminars in the Faculty of Biology Has Begun

August 29, The training lectures for teachers, methodists and directors of methodical associations in Zaporizhian Region of the natural science was carried in the ZNU Faculty of Biology. This meeting was organized in conjunction with Zaporizhzhya Regional Institute of Postgraduate Education. The goals of the seminars are teacher training and vocational guidance work in order to popularize the ZNU Faculty of Biology among school students.

Ph. D., Associate Professor of the Department of Chemistry in the Faculty of Biology Mihailo Zavgorodniy (lecture theme: "The main mistakes maid by school students during External Independent Testing (biology and chemistry)"), Ph. D., Associate Professor of the Department of the General and Applied Ecology and Zoology Oleksandr Korj with lecture theme: "Environmental education in school" gave their lectures to an audience.
The Dean of ZNU faculty of Biology, professor Ludmila Omelyanchiktold the guests about the biological faculty, its achievements, the students' theoretical - practical training, employment opportunities after graduation and the rules of reception to the Faculty of Biology.
Besides, Ludmila Oleksandrivna held a tour of the faculty. During the tour the guests had opportunity to see the laboratories with their own eyes, learn about the innovative technologies that have been imposed at the faculty. Also the guests visited Zoological Museum of the Faculty of Biology, which has over 800 exhibits of vertebrates (stuffed animals, skeletons, skulls of different species), humid preparations, collection of mollusks, crustaceans, insects and zoological collection.
Thus, the traditional series of seminars for teachers was started. Ten lectures are being scheduled for the new academic year.
