October 18, the 1-st course students of ZNU Faculty of Journalism participated in the quest-training "Introduction to Journalism", organized by SSSG of the faculty.
Young journalists along with senior colleagues tried themselves as practicing media professionals, who perform edition's tasks. Thus, each group had to prepare the material in a particular genre. Someone performed task in a field of investigative journalism and found out about the cars of our lecturers and students, others - interviewed, looked for sensational details about the life of the head of Student Council. Another group of students talked with library staff, others - searched for students to do the survey.
Each subgroup presented its portfolio and shared impressions of the quest. The majority noted that participation in this project was interesting, but sometimes it was difficult to find a common language with different people.
SSSG of the faculty promised to hold similar events for the freshmen in other directions - "Advertising and Public Relations", "Publishing and Editing" and support this quest-form training.
"Undoubtedly, today's events was a huge success. That was because of opportunity for students to show their journalists' skills in the modeled situations. It's nice that there were a lot of smiles, useful communications, the senior students gave advices to the freshman, inspired by them during the event", - Head of SSSG of the Faculty of Journalism Daria Andreeva noted.
