October 24, the meeting with the WWII veteran Volodymir Yumatov, who was a platoon commander of the 9-th Guards Poltava Airborne Division, Red Banner, Suvorov's, Kutuzov's Orders at ZNU Faculty of SPP.
This division was formed in December 1942 near Moscow and was fought from Old Rus' to Czechoslovakia through the Kursk Arc, Poltava, Poland and Germany. After the war, Volodymir Oleksandrovich defended his candidate's thesis
and headed the Department of Education at our university in 1968.
These meetings with veterans become traditional for students of the faculty. It always takes place take place in the relaxed atmosphere. Students attentively listened to veterans' stories, asked questions and expressed their own opinions about the events of the past. At the end of the meeting Head of Acting Department, Professor Galina Lokareva expressed appreciation and gratitude for such event.
