ZNU Scholars and Lecturers Participated in the roundtable "Patriotism as the Factor of Ukrainian Unity"
January 21, in the walls of the Zaporizhzhya Regional Council the roundtable "Patriotism as the Factor of Ukrainian Unity" dedicated to the Day of Unity of Ukraine, celebrated every year on January 22.
It was attended by Deputy-head of the Regional Administration Andriy Gamov, Head of the Department of Education, Science, Youth and Sports Oleksandr Verozubov, Head of the Zaporizhzhya Regional Council Igor Grozovskiy, council members and representatives of the Student Council and youth mass media.
Th event was organized by Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration, Zaporizhzhya Regional Council, "Regional Center of Patriotic Education", Zaporizhzhya National University, and others.
The roundtable's moderator became Ph.D., Professor, Dean of ZNU Faculty of Sociology and Administrating Maksim Lepskiy. The right to open the roundtable was given to the Director of "Regional Center of Patriotic Education" Nataliya Vlasova.
The event was also attended by ZNU scholars and lecturers: Ph.D.c., Docent, Deputy-head od ZNU Department Department of Political Science of the Faculty of Sociology and Administrating Tetyana Nikolaeva, Ph.D., Professor of Department Department of Political Science of the Faculty of Sociology and Administrating Evgen Tsokur and other representatives of the higher educational establishments, methodists from the different Education Departments of Zaporizhzhzya, student and labour youth, and, of course, representatives of public organizations..
During the roundtable participants discussed the historical significance of the event and the national holiday - the Day of Unification and Freedom of Ukraine for patriotic education of citizens, the role of unity in the formation of modern citizen-patriot.
