January 22, the delegation of University John E. Purkine (Ust nad Labem, Czech Republic) visited ZNU. Vice-Rector for International Affairs of the Czech university Zdenek Radvanovski, Director of the Center of Additional Education of the Pedagogical Faculty Radim Horlechek.
The Czech delegation visit started with a meeting with the rector of Zaporizhzhya National University, Professor Mykola Frolov, Deputy-Rector for Scientific Work, Professor Victor Grishak and Director of ZNU Department of International Relations and Work with Foreign Students Olena Tupahina. Also the meeting was attended by the Dean of ZNU Faculty of History Victor Tkachenko, Dean of the Faculty of Philology Tamara Homyak and Dean of ZNU Faculty of Economics Alla Cherep.
The foreign guests of the University were interested in interesting information about ZNU international activities, in particular, the fact that last year it was one of three local universities which take part in the international educational program "Socrates Erasmus".
Among the issues discussed during the meeting were the opportunity of the training the students of Czech university (specialty "Business Russian Language") at ZNU Faculty of Philology. In particular, the possibility of the short-term internships for students and lecurers of this discipline on the basis of our university. Also Mykola Frolov told about the licensing of new specialties: "Translation (the Russian, Ukrainian, Polish language)" and "Translation (the Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian language)".
As a result of the meeting: Czech side offered to sign the agreement so that the further faculties of the both universities could join specific work programs.
