ZNU students heard a lecture about tuberculosis prevention

April 23 ZNU visited the non-staff phthisiotherapist of Zaporizhzhya health department, the head physician of a city tuberculosis dispensary No. 1- Valentin Logiyko. She gave a lecture on tuberculosis prevention to ZNU students and teachers. The organizer was ZNU department of educational and was dedicated to International Workers' Memorial Day.

Valentin Logiyko (the head physician of a city tuberculosis dispensary) noted that tuberculosis is very dangerous infection. It is one of the most challenging medical and socio political problems of modern society in the world.
Early detection and prevention of tuberculosis is determinative for effective treatment and the prophylaxis communication among people. Besides, she accent that in recent years in Zaporizhzhya it was succeeded to reduce an prevalence tuberculosis. Thanks to various charity foundations and, certainly, the Ukraine government. However the problem still exists therefore it is necessary to watch over the health and do photofluorography regularly.
Также Валентина Логийко рассказала присутствующим на мероприятии о возможных путях заражения туберкулезом (воздушно-пылевой, воздушно-капельный, через бытовые предметы, пищу и т.д.), симптомы этой болезни (стойкий кашель, повышенная температура тела, потоотделение, потеря аппетита и др.) и новых методах профилактики и лечения туберкулеза. В конце мероприятия студенты получили ответы на интересовавшие их вопросы.
Also Valentina Logiyko told about possible ways of infection with tuberculosis (air and dust, airborne, through household subjects, food, etc.), symptoms of a disease (tough cough, fever heat, perspiration, loss of appetite, etc.) and new methods of prevention and tuberculosis treatment. At the end of action students ask questions.
