May 30, the students of the 1-2 courses of ZNU Faculty of Physics visited "Tokmak Solar Energy" Solar Power Station, which is build not far from the village Nove of the Tokmak district (Zaporizhzhya region). The purpose of this trip - to familiarize students with alternative technologies of the electric energy production. The event was supported by "Tokmak Solar Energy".
Thw construction of the power station began on March 28, 2012, and already on October 26 of that year it was commissioned.
The power station chief-engineer Ivan Gorenko accompanied the students during the tour. He noted that the first phase of the station had installed capacity of 1.5 MW, and earlier that year it had been upgraded to 4 MW. When the power plant will reach 10 MW - its resourses will be enough for Tokmak and Orikhivsky districts.
