At the Faculty of Biology of ZNU discussed environmental issues

October 2 on Biological Faculty of Zaporizhzhya National University held a roundtable discussion on the topic "Creating an environmentally healthy model of life of 3rd millennium, the man and his environment".
The purpose of the meeting was an attempt to consider the interaction between man and nature, direction and production of scientific thought to create an environmentally healthy future for our planet, an analysis of the historical forms of human life. In the future, these issues will allow to formulate principles and find systemic solutions of harmonious society development, taking into account environmental, social and economic aspects of human civilization.

On the round table discussion made their way representatives of the Biological Faculty and of the Faculty of Social Pedagogics and Psychology, Regional educational and scientific-practical center "Ecology" of ZNU, Zaporizhzhya Center for Ecological Culture, Zaporizhzhya State Medical University, Institute of Management and Law of Zaporizhzhya National Technical University, Zaporizhzhya Regional Institute of Postgraduate Education, Zaporizhzhya State Industrial Academy, H. S. Skovoroda Institute of Philosophy of National Academy of Sciences and the Center for Natural Agriculture "Tavriya Organik".
Vice-Rector for Science and Research, D.E., professor Victor Gristchak welcomed the participants and wished them fruitful work.
With the opening speech to present at the event addressed Head of Regional educational and scientific-practical center "Ecology" Volodymyr Sarabyeyev. He noted that the theme of the meeting is very important and requires certain decisions that improve quality of life. It presently has accumulated and not resolved many of the problems relating to air, water, land, destruction of natural ecosystems, lack of food and their low quality due to intensive production.
On roundtable were presented nine reports. Thus, head of the environmental culture of Zaporizhzhya, Natalya Pichkur spoke about the importance of interdisciplinary research ways of modern society rebuilding assistant of Zaporozhye State Medical University Ruslana Fedorchenko presented a paper on "Pollution of atmospheric air by xenobiotics and diseases of respiratory organs in Zaporizhzhya region».
Associate Professor of the Institute of Management and Law of ZNTU Valeriy Sorokin described the characteristics and difficulties of legal base implementing of Ukraine ecology according to requirements of the European Union and Associate Professor of Zaporizhzhya State Industrial Academy Ganna Makushynska – about the problems of forming ecological consciousness.
About optimal ways of ecologization landscapes told Associate Professor of Tavriya State Agrotechnological University, deputy director of the Center for Natural Agriculture "Tavriya Organik" Tetyana Gerasko.
Associate Professor of the Faculty of Social Pedagogics and Psychology of ZNU Tetyana Golovanova presented a paper on "The ideas of Vernadsky in social pedagogics" and student of 4th year SPP Faculty Oksana Kapurina told about formation of culture environmental philosophy of man by means of movie education.
On the environmental problems of the industrial region and the prospects for their resolution to participants of the meeting told associate professor of Zaporizhzhya State Industrial Academy Gennadiy Kozhemyakin, and scientific researcher of H. S. Skovoroda Institute of Philosophy of NAS Yuriy Zavgorodniy made a report, entitled "Is the future of the environmental movement in Ukraine?".
The closing remarks to the meeting participants addressed Nataliya Pichkur. She thanked the audience for the reports and proposed to the draft decision, to which all participants in the meeting agreed. Thus, it was decided to establish an interdisciplinary collegial body that will investigate environmental problems and find ways to solve it. The composition of this body will include scholars who represent a variety of disciplines and involved government representatives, public and mass media.
