October 16 at the Faculty of Biology of Zaporizhzhya National University held a seminar for teachers from across the Zaporizhzhya region, during which representatives of our university took several lectures on biology and chemistry. Organized by the Faculty of Biology of Zaporizhzhya National University and Zaporizhzhya Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education of Zaporizhzhya Regional Council (ZOIPPO ZRC).
Our University cooperates with ZOIPPO AB and conducts various scientific and methodological activities for teachers for 3 years. This year it is the first seminar, and during this academic year will be held over 10 of such events.
At the beginning of the seminar to the audience addressed Ph.D. in Biology, associate professor Valeriy Gorban. He described the vocational work of the biological faculty and university in general.
During the seminar presented their reports several scientists of the biological faculty of ZNU. About "Modern achievements in the science of biology and chemistry" told Dean of the Faculty of Biology, D.Sc. in Pharmaceutics, professor Lyudmyla Omelyanchik. With the lecture "Synthetic theory of evolution" performed D.Sc. in Biology, associate professor Oleksandr Korzh. His work "The modern theory of the structure of organic compounds: prospects for development of organic synthesis" presented associate professor of the Department of "Chemistry" Mykhaylo Zavgorodniy. The participants exchanged experiences, their own practices - materials and researches.
After completion of the seminar for a group of teachers was an excursion to laboratories of the Faculty, where they had the opportunity to get acquainted with new methods and techniques of research in biology and chemistry, as well as the principles of operation of technological equipment. Also the excursion to the Zoological Museum of the biological faculty of ZNU, where museum director Oleksandr Korotya acquainted the participants with the most interesting exhibits.
Curator of teachers group senior teacher of the Department of didactics and teaching methods course and mathematical disciplines ZOIPPO ZRC Svitlana Dekhtyarenko noted that through collaboration with our university representatives ZOIPPO AB today in 6th place in the rating of the All-Ukrainian Chemistry Olympiad - this year wishing to to take part in it 8 persons, compared with last year's figure - 4 comers. Representatives of the University – Dean of the Faculty of Biology, D.Sc. in Pharmaceutics, professor Lyudmyla Omelyanchik, and associate professors of the Department of "Chemistry" Tamara Panasenko, Olga Luganska, Oleksandr Brashko, Victoriya Peretyatko and Mykhaylo Zavgorodniy - are members of the jury of the Regional Chemistry Olympiad.
