At the Law Faculty of Zaporizhzhya National University held an interuniversity roundtable meeting "Features of the impact of international law on national legal systems". Event was organized by the members of the SCSP of the Faculty.
The moderator of round table meeting became Head of SCSP of the Law Faculty Oleksandr Kolomoyets. He welcomed all those present at the event and outlined the perspective questions and emphasized the participants attention to the basic concepts of international law and its relation to national.
Law Faculty Student of ZNU Oleksiy Kuropata prepared a report on the historical experience of Ukraine in the implementation of international legal norms. 2nd year student of the same Faculty Vitaliy Zuyev in his speech focused on the issue of harmonization of national law to EU law. During this discussion unfolded lively discussion. Deputy Head of SCSP of the Faculty of Law Mykyta Zhukov told the audience about the peculiarities of the forms of implementation of international standards into national legislation.
Student of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Administration Yuliya Yurhina made a presentation on issues related to globalization processes in the modern world and their impact on national law. Head of SCSP of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Administration Yelena Struk also joined in the discussion of these issues.
Also, the round table meeting was attended by Law Faculty student of ZNTU Arsen Yehyan and student of the Faculty of Economics and Management of ZNTU Mikail Asatryan, which outlined the economic component of the implementation of international standards into national legislation and highlighted the historical background of the impact of international law in the national legal system.
During the discussion ensuing a lively debate about the wisdom of borrowing of European law. Summarizing the meeting, Oleksandr Kolomoyets thanked all the participants for their active participation in the discussion.
