March 11 ZNU held a gala evening entitled "There is Shevchenko's date of birth, but there is not Shevchenko's date of death", dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of the brilliant Ukrainian poet and artist. It was organized and held by teachers and students of the Philological Faculty, staff members of the Centre for Culture and his creative studios. Chairman of the organizing committee of the Faculty - Deputy Dean for Educational Work Valentyna Nikolaienko.
Opened the celebration and addressed the audience in the hall of viewers First Vice-Rector Oleksandr Bondar and Dean of the Faculty of Philology Tamara Khomiak. They expressed a view on the importance of genius Taras Shevchenko for the history and present of Ukraine. So, Oleksandr Hryhorovych emphasized that presently do not lose relevance creativity and thought of Taras Shevchenko: «With inexhaustible treasury of folk genius derive their knowledge as average Ukrainian and modern experts - linguists, lawyers and others. The laws of
justice, humanity, life, optimism and desire for a beautiful future and still encourage us to turn to the great son of Ukrainian nation». Tamara Volodymyrivna, in turn, suggested that «in each age Shevchenko perceived differently. This leads again and again to re-read his works, finding them more depth and wisdom».
Honorable right to put flowers on the bust of Taras Shevchenko, located on the campus of ZNU gave to students-philologists Dariya Babych, Nataliya Kaniutsa, Nataliya Klymenko and Inna Honcharenko.
The hosts of the event - Anastasiia Shmyhlia and Andrii Diachenko - indicated that the first steps poetic creativity famous Ukrainian poet saw himself among kobzars that awaken human consciousness, praising the heroic history of the
nation, arousing in every person's self-esteem and desire for freedom. No wonder his first collection Taras Shevchenko called "Kobzar". Today, it draws inspiration contemporary poets, singers and public figures.
For nearly half an hour from the scene heard the poems of Taras Shevchenko and of Shevchenko, a song the words of his works, folk and modern songs. Thus, in the words of the poet's song "The Wide Dneiper Roars and Moans" in modern processing performed student
Tetiana Didenko, and Mykola Bilyk sang his own song dedicated to the memory of contemporary fighters - "Heavenly hundred". Songs of the works of the poet presented also Viktoriia Teodorova, Anastasiia Verchenko, Olenksii Vorozheiev; excerpts from poems and verses of Shevchenko, Shevchenko's stage dialogue with contemporaries read Tymur Kerimov, Olha Dontsova, Anastasiia Berkovska, Kateryna Vinichenko, Alona Matiichuk, Yuliia Korniiets, Kateryna Rybak and others. Cossack martial art introduced to the audience members of youth Ukrainian Federation "Spas" and the ensemble of folk dance sport «D.A.L.S.» executed inflammatory Ukrainian hopak.
At the entrance to the assembly hall for holiday guests also waited a specialized book exhibition on the life and work of the great poet, prepared by members of the Scientific Library of ZNU.
