March 12 at the initiative of the Rector of Zaporizhzhya National University Mykola Frolov had a meeting with the student university. The event also attended by representatives of the university administration, faculties and teaching staff.
Before going to questions, Rector Mykola Frolov told about activity of the staff of ZNU and events planned for 2014. The main aim of the university is to create a positive image of the university, which will boost the competitiveness of in the educational market. Mykola Oleksandrovych said that today ZNU is the 
competitive in the south of Ukraine, and plans to make our university administration educational institution attractive to students throughout Ukraine, and if possible - both for foreign students.
The priority areas of the university the Rector also called the creation of deepening the teaching of foreign languages, the introduction of distance education, training and professional development of teaching staff of the University; system fight with corruption, improve the material and technical basis of ZNU. Also, Mykola Oleksandrovych said that today at the university in order to improve the quality of foreign language skills among teachers created two groups for the study and improvement of the English language and one - from the French. In the next 
plans - to introduce the study of foreign languages in the entire period of study at all Faculties of ZNU. Mykola Oleksandrovych said that every student must have a minimum of four languages - Ukrainian, Russian, English and a European language to choose from - and our university for that creates all the necessary conditions. Another major focus of the university leadership is to prepare teaching staff, because today the university has more than 700 scientific and pedagogical staff, 75 D.Sc., professors and about 450 candidates of sciences. Rector Mykola Frolov told about the performed repairs, upgrading classroom fund and noted that the plans for this year - the repair of the second academic building, of sixth academic building roofs and a second hostel and continued introduction of new technologies and updating classrooms.
After the speech of the Rector all wishing have the opportunity to talk with Mykola Oleksandrovych and ask questions. Students interested in a lot of various issues, including: the stability and benefits of scholarships; 
conducting of trainings from famous journalists to students of the Faculty of Journalism, the terms and the actual process of modernizing classrooms and implementing new technologies in the educational process, update the tourism equipment of the university, return to the work of the university "Universe" radio to the format FM-broadcasting, the ability to increase the number of workshops for those who study at the Faculty of Biology and many more. So, at the request of students, Mykola Oleksandrovych promised by September 1, at the Economics Faculty create a new computer lab, conduct for students of all the Faculties public lectures on the history and introduce a mechanism for the allocation of funds to departments for updating the necessary equipment, establish a connection of Wi-Fi network for all the university buildings, etc.
Those wishing to put questions to the Rector was quite a lot. Thus, the question asked not only students but also teachers.
At the end of the meeting, the Rector Mykola Frolov said that members of the administration, teaching staff and students are required to work for establishing the optimum, productive and efficient work, create a positive image of the university and its prosperity.
