In Economics and Law College of ZNU was held a meeting of philological sciences section

March 19 in Economics and Law College of Zaporizhzhya National University as part of the scientific-practical conference of students and young scientists "Young Science 2014" was held a working meeting of philological sciences section. The work took place in two areas - literary criticism and linguistic.

The section's work headed by teacher of Ukrainian language and literature of ELC Nataliya Trush. The event also attended by Deputy Director for teaching and educational work Olena Artemenko, Coordinator of SCSP of ZNU Svitlana Dobroskok, teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature of ELC Oleksandra Danilkina, Anna Dmytrenko and Anna Dorofieieva.
During the meeting, their reports presented 20 students of ELC. Some of them for the first time participated in such research activities, but the level of their scientific work was quite high. One of the first report was heard Olha Mishevska, dedicated to the "lost generation" in the works of E.-M. Remarque and E. Hemingway. In this paper we investigated the problem of choice of life and death, courage and patriotism, hatred and fratricide, which today is quite relevant.
Also, the students were investigated problems of speech of the modern Ukrainian media types and euphemisms methods in modern media and their influence on people's minds, the monitoring of speech errors in the media as an example of Zaporizhzhya Ukrainian press and television. His research students conducted in the literary criticism direction. In particular, this applies to works of Taras Shevchenko, had discussed the color system features, the use of names in his works, the author's interpretation of the images and symbols.
The results of the work of the best were selected report of Anastasia Popova "Ways of euphemism in modern Ukrainian press" and Khrystyna Mkhitarian "A candle as a symbol of redemption in the story of R. Fedoriv "Black candle from Yilen"". These studies will be recommended for publication in the collection of scientific works of students and young scientists "Young Science". Also reports of ELC students will be recommended for a performance at the university scientific conference of students and young scientists "Young Science 2014".
The best presentations were recognized students' work Tetiana Veklych, Marharyta Zaikina, Kateryna Skorichenko, Alina Oshur. In addition, were mentioned 1st year students Olha Mishevska, Daryna Shuryha, 2nd year students Nadia Smurova and 3rd year students Oleksandra Lovina and Kateryna Shcherbyna.
