March 20 in Zaporizhzhya National University were held public debates between the candidates for the post of Head of the Students' Council of the University.
For the post are competing three candidates: 3rd year student of the Faculty of Physical Education Vladyslav Vorotkov, 3rd year student of the Faculty of Law Oleksii Krasov and 4th year student of the Faculty of Journalism Olha Lebedieva. The host of the event was active Head of Students' Council of ZNU Anton Osadchuk. 
At the beginning of the debate the audience turned Rector’s Assistant on Educational Work Nataliya Voronova. She thanked the team of active Students' Council of ZNU, led by Anton Osadchuk for fruitful work and appealed to the students asking to elect a new worthy leader.
During the meeting, the candidates for the head of the Students' Council of ZNU responded to all the questions of students and current Students' Council Head Anton Osadchuk and present their election programs.
According to a drawing lots, first presented his election program Vladyslav Vorotkov. He outlined his main goals and objectives. In particular, Vladyslav 
Vorotkov plans to establish a rating system work students who live in hostels of ZNU, Students' Council to reconstruct the social sector in the voluntary sector "Heart of ZNU", a support team of sports teams from all Faculties and Students' Council newspaper, implement projects "Volunteering book" and "Unite for Life" aims to organize support for students who are in difficult life circumstances, and conduct interactive and entertaining quests and other cultural events, etc.
The second was made by the candidate to Head of the Students' Council of ZNU Oleksiy Krasov. in accordance with 
election program he plans to create a commission that will examine the treatment of students and real psychological help provide students with a legal aid in Legal clinic of ZNU, intensify cooperation with charitable organizations.
He believes that the decisions that affect the interests of the students have taken collectively, with the obligatory account of opinions and suggestions of students. During the decision-making university Students' Council has confidently rely on the capacity and will of the faculty, giving them as much autonomy and responsibility.
In turn, the third candidate to the Head of the Students' Council of ZNU Olha Lebedeva in his campaign said that the main objective of the program - building a genuine civil society in a particular university. All decisions will be 
accepted collectively, all briefings will be completely open to every student. The main problem of the student government, as Olha Lebedeva consider no current system works, and that will fix this as its first task.
In addition, it plans to establish a system of non-formal education and informal student «Speaking club» in each Faculty, to ensure the development of legal education students develop an understanding of civil society and non-governmental initiatives among students and improve environmental work towards informal 
education, volunteer work, work not only on projects of various subjects at the level of Ukraine, but also on lobbying laws, which should radically change the education system of our country.
Also, Olha Lebedeva said that her team focused on winning the "Student Republic 2014" Zaporizhzhya and create on its basis a really interesting project for students of the city.
Anton Osadchyk at the end of the event, thanked all the candidates for their participation in the debate and invited the audience to visit the report-election conference of the Students' Council of the University, to be held March 25 at 13:00 in the hall of 2nd academic building of ZNU.
