April 8 at the Faculty of Foreign Languages of Zaporizhzhya National University was held a working meeting of the workshop "Foreign philology" within the Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists "Young Science 2014".
Head of the section D.Sc. in Philology, professor Rusudan Makhachashvili. She welcomed the participants and wished the students to productive work.
Faculty of Foreign Languages conference was attended by 20 students, 8 of whom presented their report during the session.
Thus, a student of the Faculty of Foreign Languages Ilona Pavlius presented a paper on the topic "Characteristics portrait of Theodore Dreiser's works", and Yana Putnins made functional analysis of headers and slogans on the example of foreign publications.
In turn, Kateryna Driuchenko analyzed and architectural interpretation of the classic image of the vampire (based on the "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer), and Diana Babchenko made a presentation on "Interpretive analysis of the semantics of idioms as a means to identify the content of the concept "The French Language"".
In addition, the meeting was attended by the student and the College of Economics and Law of ZNU Tetiana Kulichenko, made a presentation on "The use of idioms and slang in modern English and Ukrainian language".
The results of the meeting, the best in the degree of relevance and scientific innovation were selected student works of Diana Babchenko, Olha Zybtseva, Ilona Pavlius and Yany Putnins.
