A student of FSSA Olena Struk participated in the VIII International scientific conference "Social Work: Theory, History, Innovation"
During May 15-16, 4th year student of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Administration of ZNU, Scientific Community of Students and Postgraduates Olena Struk participated in the VIII International scientific and practical conference "Social Work: Theory, History, Innovation". This scientific event was held at the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" and brought together participants from leading national and foreign universities that train specialists in social work, as well as representatives of NGOs and charities.
At the beginning of the event Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law of NTUU «KPI» Anatolii Melnychenko welcomed all the participants, noting that today, given the difficult economic and political situation in the country, social work is particularly important.
The work sessions of the conference were actively involved as teachers and students of various universities and social workers and community members.
Members of the scientific meetings could not only read the opinions of leading social scientists as key issues, but also to participate in the discussion of 
topics important to them as ensuring the transition from quantitative to qualitative assessment of social services and the necessary conditions prevent growth of underclass (layer of society that make declassed elements) in the state. They also debated alternative and innovative forms of assistance to socially vulnerable groups and for promoting social work on the formation and development the social state.
At the end of the first working day conference of young scientists were spectators and participants of Kiev playback performance-theater «Déjà vu plus».
On the second day of the conference held two workshops: "Theatrical Improvisation in Working with Social Groups" and "Self Help in Everyday Life, a Method of Positive Psychotherapy in Action".
All participants were most pleasant experience to participate in this event they were able to learn about modern scientific view of critical societal issues and improve the scientific level, to find friends and associates.
