On May 22, Zaporizhzhya National University to implement the Action Plan of Prevention and Combating Corruption for 2014, approved by the Rector of ZNU from 12.02.2014 № 56, in Zaporizhzhya National University held a lecture on preventing and combating of corruption for Deans, their deputies, heads of departments and heads of structural divisions.
At the beginning of the lecture First Vice-Rector Oleksandr Bondar presented a members meeting and said that the event is held for the purpose of anti-corruption legislation and the establishment of an effective system for combating corruption in Zaporizhzhya National University.
The first addressed to the audience LL.D., associate professor of Administrative and Business Law Pavlo Liutikov. He noted that representatives of the Faculty of Law of ZNU constantly hold lectures and workshops on anti-corruption topics for professionals from different institutions in which recommendations for detection and elimination of conflicts of interest, corruption risks in public and officers. The lecturer called sign legal documents relating to corruption and combat. Elaborated on the Law of Ukraine "On Principles of Prevention and Combating Corruption" has provided substantial comments regarding his articles. Named as subjects responsible for corruption violations on which is the maximum liability: civil servants, employees of state-owned enterprises and institutions active in the fields of public law and endowed with administrative and economic powers, etc. Also the speaker explained that the various manifestations of corruption are unequal ethical evaluation: some actions are considered criminal, others just immoral. The most dangerous forms of corruption are classified as criminal offenses.
In turn, Member of the Chamber of criminal cases Svitlana Dadasheva said that corruption is a factor that threatens the national security of our country. She stressed the importance of unconditional performance of duties and requirements of the Law of Ukraine "On Principles of Prevention and Combating Corruption". This law clearly regulates the actions of law enforcement bodies in the fight against corruption, delineates their responsibilities and prescribes in detail the responsibilities of civil servants and other persons. Svitlana Dadasheva briefed the audience on aspects of the application of anti-corruption legislation in practice, particularly in relation to receipt gifts wrongful benefits and prosecution for corruption.
